Purpose of Milestones?
As part of our journey to launching a CubeSat, milestones help track progress, align the team, and verify readiness at each stage, reducing risk and keeping the mission on course. Image Credit: Binar Space, Curtin University

STRATOS
PAST's first mission
STRATOS (HAB01)
In Q4 2025, PAST's first mission was launched. Stratos, meaning stratosphere, was a High Altitude Balloon (HAB) that brought our subsystems to near space conditions for condition testing and integration.

What was included?
STRATOS served as an integration platform for our preliminary CubeSat subsystems. In addition to our own systems, we flew a High-School developed payload from the BinarX program.

Results
Data from the flight has been recovered and processed. Although we lost power, the data that was recorded has been insightful as we continue development towards our CubeSat.
